Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved a 16-member delegation to represent the state during the 2025 Christian pilgrimage.
According to a statement by his spokesperson, Dauda Iliya, the delegation will be led by the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Borno, Bishop John Bakeni, while Rev. Iliya Ndirmbita will serve as Deputy Head of Delegation.
Other appointed members include Barr. Simon C. Malgwi, Hon. Samson Yoksa Dibal, Hon. Kwapchi Bata, Mr. Ugochukwu Oko Ike (Go Easy), Engr. Ngita Hassan Mshelia, Mrs. Lydia Gora, Mrs. Wasini Yakubu, Mr. Hassan Anjili Malgwi, Hon. Christopher Godwin Akaba, Alfred Yahaya Bwala, Mustapha Bulama, Hon. Tarpaya Asarya, and Mr. Luka Apaqu Mussa. Elder Lawan J. Rangi Ndirmbita has been named Secretary of the delegation.
Governor Zulum congratulated the members and urged them to ensure a smooth and successful coordination of the pilgrimage exercise.
The 2025 Borno State Government Pilgrimage Delegation will be formally inaugurated on a date to be announced later.
