Zulum praises Tinubu for Agric University, says Borno will support take off
Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to expanding access to quality education, particularly with the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship in Bama, Borno State. Zulum made the commendation while reacting to the recent appointment of principal officers for the new university. Speaking during a visit to the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa in Abuja on Thursday, Zulum emphasised that the swift appointment of the institution’s leadership underscores President Tinubu’s dedication to educational development not only in Borno but across the entire north-east.

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for establishing the Federal University of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship in Bama, Borno State.
Governor Zulum gave the commendation during a visit to the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, in Abuja.
He described the recent appointment of principal officers for the institution as a demonstration of President Tinubu’s commitment to expanding access to quality education in Borno State and the North-East region.
The governor also praised the Minister of Education for supporting the appointment process of the university’s management team.
Professor Zulum assured the federal government of the state’s full cooperation and pledged support towards ensuring a smooth take-off of academic activities at the institution.
The newly appointed principal officers include Professor Tijjani Kalli as Vice Chancellor, Abba Kaka as Registrar, Bashir Subaru as Bursar, and Aishatu Halilu as Librarian.
Governor Zulum noted that the university would boost educational development, agricultural innovation, entrepreneurship, economic growth, and human capital development in Borno State and the North-East.
The governor was accompanied on the visit by member of the House of Representatives, Engineer Bukar Talba, Chairman of Borno State Social Investment, Honorable Yuguda Vungas Saleh, and elder statesman, Alhaji Mamman Tubo.
