President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has felicitated with Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, calling for renewed patriotism and commitment to national unity.

In a statement marking the end of Ramadan, the President urged Muslim faithful to uphold the values of piety, compassion, and selflessness beyond the fasting period.

President Tinubu noted that the lessons of Ramadan such as perseverance, kindness, and empathy remain vital, especially at a time when the nation requires collective effort and unity.

He encouraged Muslims to extend acts of charity and kindness to the less privileged, regardless of religious differences, as a way of promoting peaceful coexistence.

The President also called on religious leaders to use the festive period to offer prayers for lasting peace and prosperity in Nigeria.

The message was contained in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on March 19, 2026.
