CAN called for sustained Prayers for Peace and prosperity.

The Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Borno State Chapter, Most Reverend John Bogna Bakini says all Christian denominations converged on the Easter Monday to strengthen their unity and to pray for the State and the Country including it's Leaders. Most Reverend Dr John Bogna Bakini stated this while speaking with Newsmen on the Easter message in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital.

The Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Borno State Chapter, Most Reverend John Bogna Bakini says all Christian denominations converged on the Easter Monday to strengthen their unity and to pray for the State and the Country including it's Leaders.

Most Reverend Dr John Bogna Bakini stated this while speaking with Newsmen on the Easter message in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital.

He explained that prayers is a powerful tool to achieve any desired objectives, especially the lingering Security situation and the Nigeria's prosperity.

The theme for this year's celebration is choosen from the book of Mathew's Gospel Chapter 28 verse 2, where it's says " suddenly there was a earthquake and the Angel of Lord came down from Heaven and rolled away the stone and sat on it.

While felicitating with  the Christian Brothers and Sisters, the CAN Chairman Borno State Chapter reminded that as triumph of Jesus Christ over darkness and evil, and therefore enjoined them to put the light of Jesus Christ and become Ambassadors of that light which is the resurrection brought into the World.

Most Reverend Dr John Bogna Bakini called on Christian Brethens to imbibe the attitudes and virtues of love, peace, Justice, kindness, forgiveness, and humility which Jesus Christ embodies.

He added that this light they all witnessed are received by virtue of their baptism and encourage all and sundry to take this light where ever they go.

While acknowledginf the economic hardship and the lingering Security situation, but he encourage the Worshippers to continue to give God thanks.

He commented the Nigeria Armed Forces and other security agencies involved in the Counter Insurgency and Terrorism operations for their gallantry and sacrifices that makes the Nations stands.

Most Reverend John Bogna Bakini used the medium and extends warmest regards to Borno State Governor, Baba Gana Umara Zulum, the Shehu of Borno Alhaji Dr Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El Kanemi and all Muslim Brothers and Sisters.
