CP Naziru Abdulmajid Decorates 346 Newly Promoted Officers in Borno
The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, Naziru Abdulmajid, has decorated three hundred and forty-six Inspectors recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II). The decoration ceremony took place on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Command Headquarters in Maiduguri. A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Kenneth Nuhum Daso, said the Commissioner performed the decoration on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission. CP Abdulmajid congratulated the newly promoted officers on their well-deserved elevation, commending their resilience, professionalism, and dedication to duty in the discharge of their responsibilities in Borno State. He reminded the officers that higher rank comes with greater responsibility and urged them to exhibit increased discipline, accountability, and leadership in the course of their duties.
