Remains of ACP Balteh Laid to Rest in Potiskum
The remains of late Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abubakar A. Balteh were laid to rest on Sunday, 22nd February 2026, in Potiskum, Yobe State. ACP Balteh died following a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred in Potiskum on Saturday, 21st February 2026, while he was en route from Kaduna to Maiduguri. Until his demise, he served as the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Borno State Police Command. In a press statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Kenneth Daso, the Command expressed deep regret over the tragic incident and described the late officer as a dedicated and committed professional. The statement prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
