Borno Police Command Loses ACP in Fatal Road Crash
The Borno State Police Command has announced the death of Abubakar A. Balteh, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), who died in a fatal motor accident on Saturday, 21st February, 2026. The sad development was confirmed in a press statement issued to journalists in Maiduguri by the Police Public Relations Officer, Nahum Kenneth Daso. Until his death, the late officer served diligently as the Assistant Commissioner of Police, SCID, Borno State Command. The Command stated that details of the burial arrangements and other related information will be communicated in due course. It prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
