BSG Seeks International License for Buhari Airport, Regional NCAA Base in Maiduguri.
Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has visited the headquarters of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in Abuja to fast-track the final certification of Muhammadu Buhari Airport for international operations. The meeting, held behind closed doors, centred on removing technical bottlenecks and securing the aerodrome license required to enable the airport to handle international flight operations. Sources familiar with the deliberations revealed that Governor Zulum also advocated for the establishment of a regional NCAA office in Maiduguri to strengthen aviation regulation and enhance operational efficiency across the North-East region. The governor was accompanied by the member representing Marte, Monguno and Nganzai Federal Constituency, Engr. Bukar Talba, alongside other officials of the Borno State Government.
