CP Naziru Abdulmajid Felicitates with Muslim Faithful on Commencement of Ramadan
The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, on behalf of officers and men of the Command, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in Borno State and beyond on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan. The message was contained in a press release signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, and made available to newsmen on Monday, 17th February 2026.

The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, on behalf of officers and men of the Command, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in Borno State and beyond on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.
The message was contained in a press release signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, and made available to newsmen on Monday, 17th February 2026.
According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police described Ramadan as a sacred period of devotion, sacrifice, self-discipline and compassion, urging the faithful to use the opportunity to pray for lasting peace, unity and prosperity in Borno State and the nation at large.
The statement further called on residents to continue to support security agencies with credible and timely information, remain law-abiding, and embrace the spirit of tolerance, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect throughout the fasting period.
It added that the Command has put in place adequate security measures across the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Ramadan. Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders have been directed to intensify patrols, particularly around mosques, prayer grounds, markets and other public places.
The statement reassured members of the public of the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, and wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, rewarding and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan.
